– the 2018 GACC Apprenticeship Award was presented to WITTENSTEIN Holding Corp., for their investment in workforce development.

Held during National Apprenticeship Week in Washington D.C., The GACC Apprenticeship Award 2018 was presented at RGIT (Representative of German Industry and Trade) on November 14, 2018 in Washington D.C. HE Dr. Emily Haber, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, delivered this year’s keynote speech prior to the award ceremony.

The awards ceremony honored WITTENSTEIN for their efforts and investments in workforce development and education as well as the creation of valuable career pathways for young Americans. The award also highlights the impact the apprenticeship model has made to the individual careers of the winning company’s apprentices.

This year the GACC recognized two companies: Brose North America and WITTENSTEIN Holding Corp. “Brose and WITTENSTEIN were selected as the winners by an independent jury of specialists for their global approach to training and their deep commitment to apprenticeships” says Mario Kratsch, Vice President of GACC Midwest.

“It is a necessary investment in WITTENSTEIN’s future in the USA; we cannot grow the company without
skilled employees. WITTENSTEIN is a high-tech company and needs highly educated and skilled employees” says Peter Riehle, President and CEO of WITTENSTEIN Holding Corp.
