As you may be aware, the current tariff rate on imports from the European Union has been 10% since April 9th, 2025. However, following a preliminary agreement between the EU and the United States, a revised tariff rate of 15% will take effect August 1st, 2025, for all applicable imported items.

A tariff surcharge line item will be added to all invoices for affected products or products containing components that clear customs on or after August 1st, 2025. This includes all currently open orders scheduled to ship on or after that date. Please note that we will not issue updated order acknowledgments. We encourage you to refer to our terms and conditions, which are included with all quotes and order confirmations.

Our goal is to apply the tariff surcharge only to impacted products. Due to the evolving nature of international trade policies, if the tariff rate changes again in the future, WITTENSTEIN will adjust the surcharge accordingly based on the effective date of any new rate.
