It's All About the Supply
Wittenstein's ternary product has found a way to meet the supply with the demand. This product has provided a cost effective means of launching a product by being installed on a dosing machine for filling candies.

The dosing machine can have up to - six individually heated and temperature controlled product hoppers and pump heads - provided by Wittenstein’s ternary linear actuator. Servo operation for each actuator is independent, allowing the operator to set separate parameters, such as up and down speed, start and stop timing and stroke length.

Important characteristics of this machine which are ideal for the industry include compactness, efficient pricing and reliability. Ternary is a large-scale integration product that for the first time unites several components in a single package. A servomotor, feedback, amplifier, closed-loop control and ballscrew driven cylinder are integrated together inside a compact linear unit. The ternary system offers substantially more flexibility and controllability than the average pneumatic cylinder.

Switch cabinets and additional wiring or cable ducts can be eliminated which further increases space savings and overall cost savings to the customer. Since the ternary actuator system integrates everything in a single device, fewer components are needed enhancing operating reliability.
