WITTENSTEIN in North America Achieves Newest ISO 9001-2015 Certification

One of First Companies in USA to be Upgraded, Passed with Zero Non-Conformities

WITTENSTEIN Holding Corporation in Bartlett, Illinois today announced that it has received official certification for ISO 9001:2015 compliance, effective September 15, 2016. The company completed the required audits in July with zero non-conformities. This makes WITTENSTEIN in North America one of the first companies in the United States to be upgraded to the 2015 standard, and re-certified as ISO compliant.

WITTENSTEIN’s Quality Manager Jim Fanning worked with the certification organization to complete the review process and obtain the certificate for the Quality Management System, which includes:

Design, Sales, Manufacture and Service of Precision Planetary Gear Drive Systems for Automated Machinery and Electromechanical Actuator Systems for Aerospace Flight Simulators.

According to Fanning, the audit was exhaustive and detailed, as expected, which is further testament to the achievement of certification. He shared that the auditors themselves were impressed, sharing that, “In their summary, the auditors made a special note that WITTENSTEIN’s system for monitoring machine maintenance is exceptionally impressive. The lead auditor stated that he has been recommending this type of system for years to his customers — and this is the first time he has seen it implemented. He also emphasized how commendable this particular tool is for strong quality management.”

Commenting on the distinction of being one of the first companies in the world to upgrade to the new standard, President and CEO Peter Riehle noted, “Clearly, we are very proud of this achievement. It directly supports our commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and is a testament to our standards for excellence at WITTENSTEIN in North America.”
